Daily Dispatch print a dead body on fronf page |
This matter is a very sensitive one. The question asked was whether it was right or wrong to publish the photo of the infent corpse.
Arguements have been circulating in the social networks, some condemn and criticise but I choose to approve this report. People deserve to know about the tragic acts that are being commited by heartless people (the mortuary in this matter), they need to be exposed. If the story was writen without the picture, it wouldn't make the headlines and it wouldn't be taken into consideration, that is why it was very right for the Daily Dispatch to publish the story (and the photo) in that manner.
To other people it was non-acceptable to publish the photo due to individual's feelings about reading about such stories. "I go very far out of my way not to look at or read such things. I know I am an Ostrich, but there are certain things this heart of mine cannot take, or forget about. The pain is just to much," said Alicia, who commented online. "...publishing the pictures won't aid the problem. Telling the story to the right people who have the access & power to do something about it however, could aid the problem. I've grown up with shock & awe pictures, movies, natural disasters etc. so nothing really shocks me anymore," commented somebody else by the name of Nuclear.
"No words could illustrate the seriousness of the situation in our government mortuaries better than the gory pictures themselves" Daily Dispatch said. They are right, I totally agree with them. everything that include the government is in the public interest. Good work Daily Dispatch for exposing such a touching story for the citizens. It's time for our government to take serious actions so that cases related to this one can avoided and dealt with according to the law.
